Football Chess is officially live! We're launching with a pre-season period where you can jump in, learn the game, and help us figure out what works and what doesn't.

What is Pre-Season?

This is basically our chance to get the game working properly with real players. During pre-season:

• Find bugs - We're sure there are issues we haven't caught yet
• Give feedback - Tell us what's confusing, what's fun, what's broken
• Learn the game - Figure out strategies and tactics alongside other players
• Help build the community - We're starting small but hopefully growing

Football Chess is still in development, so please be patient with bugs and rough edges. This pre-season phase is when we're actively working on fixes, balance changes, and improvements based on how people actually play.

If you run into issues or have ideas for improvements, please share them. The game is still evolving and player feedback directly influences what gets prioritized.

Once we work through the major issues and the game feels solid, we'll transition out of pre-season and start Season 1 with proper competitive play.

What's Next?

During pre-season, we're focused on:

• Fixing whatever breaks - Please report bugs, crashes, weird behavior
• Balancing the game - Making sure no strategy is completely broken
• Growing the community - Getting more people to try this thing
• Learning from real gameplay - Seeing how people actually play vs. how we thought they would

There's no set end date for pre-season. We'll move to more structured competitive play when the game feels solid and we have enough players. Until then, every game helps us understand what this should become.
